Terms of Use
Last updated September 26, 2026These terms govern your use of the Pashmak iOS app (“Pashmak”, “we”, “us”). By using Pashmak you agree to them and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which also applies. If these terms conflict with Apple's EULA, these terms control to the extent permitted.
1. The service
Pashmak helps you learn Persian through conversations, lessons, stories and pronunciation practice. Tutor replies, stories and feedback are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate or unnatural. Pashmak is a learning aid, not a professional translation or interpreting service; don't rely on it for medical, legal, immigration or other important matters.
2. Pashmak Pro subscriptions
- Pashmak is free to use with daily limits. Pashmak Pro removes those limits and is offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
- You can manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We may change limits, features or prices; price changes follow Apple's notice rules and never apply to a period you've already paid for.
3. Acceptable use
Please don't misuse Pashmak: no attempts to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell the service, to get around usage limits, or to use it to create unlawful, hateful, sexual or harassing content. We may suspend access that violates these terms.
4. Your content
You own what you say and type. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Our content
The Pashmak character, artwork, lessons, sounds and app are owned by us and licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Virtual items and sekke earned in the app have no monetary value and can't be exchanged for money.
6. Disclaimers and liability
Pashmak is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pashmak in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
7. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we'll post changes here with a new date. You can stop using Pashmak at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
